Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was informed about the Hamas attack on Oct. 7 one-half hour before it began, the French newspaper Le Figaro reported on Wednesday.

The investigation revealed that a senior Hamas official in Lebanon, Saleh al-Arouri, received the call to inform Nasrallah.

According to the investigation, the murderous attack had been planned for about two years, since 2021 and as part of the preparations, Gaza's Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades Commander Mohammed Deif appointed new commanders to the brigades, members who were unknown to Israeli forces.

It was also revealed that some of the terrorists who participated in the massacre traveled to Mecca but, in fact, from there, made their way to Lebanon for training.

Three months before the attack, Hamas contacted a small Salafi organization and transferred weapons to them in preparation for the attack. During the month and a half before the attack, senior Hamas commanders were instructed not to make any contact with one another.

In the months before the attack, Sinwar cut off ties with the Hamas leadership abroad to such an extent that Mousa Abu Marzouk came to Gaza to meet him, and the meeting was described as "tense."

Sinwar was furious that Hezbollah did not join the war against Israel with full force and conveyed a strong message on the matter at the end of October.

Israeli security forces obtained two videos showing Deif that were collected by IDF soldiers and reached military intelligence, proving that he is fully able to function.

Last week, it was reported on KAN 11 news that sources who viewed the videos said Deif looked different in his appearance from photos more than a decade ago, including gray hair and a significantly aged appearance.

In a video published for the first time on KAN 11 news, Deif can be seen entering his office in the Jabaliya neighborhood – an office apparently located underground. Upon entering, he is seen accompanied by security guards and then sits down behind a well-equipped desk.

In another video, Deif is seen walking in a parking lot, dragging his left leg, and struggling to go up or down stairs. Deif has various motor impairments, but his cognitive abilities have not been affected, according to what is known within the Israeli intelligence community.
