The foundations of SOLU were laid at a 24/7 house of prayer, with a group of hungry teenagers gathering weekly to worship and cry out to God. From a weekly prayer room gathering to the streets of downtown Jerusalem and now through ministry across Israel and into the nations – a highway is being built to prepare the way of the Lord!
It all began in the spring of 2009, with ELAV 24/7, a youth group meeting weekly in the prayer room of Succat Hallel. In the context of night & day prayer, young people were being trained & discipled to know and carry the heart of God by singing and praying from the scriptures and all with a vision to prepare the way for revival & Yeshua’s return to Israel!
At the time, Shilo & Sarah were just teenagers and Jon Mark & Sandra were their youth leaders. Little did they know that this gathering of young hearts burning for Yeshua was to become the seedbed for visions, dreams and friendships that are still bearing fruit today…and we know the best is yet to come!
Solu’s ministry is expressed through four main areas:
Shilo Ben Hod is a native Israeli Messianic Jew, husband to Sarah, and father to three. Together, Shilo and Sarah are passionate about seeing lives transformed through worship, prayer, and discipleship. Their journey began in 2009 when they met at a house of prayer—and from that moment on, they have faithfully served the Lord and His people in that context. After completing his service in the IDF, Shilo worked as a computer programmer before being called into full-time ministry.
Years later, he and Sarah co-founded Solu Israel alongside Jon Mark and Sandra Davis and a group of young adults hungry to see revival in Israel and the nations. Shilo’s vision is to establish communities of worship across Israel that will shine the light of Yeshua—bringing hope to the people of Israel and sending that light forth from Zion to the ends of the earth.
