In Exodus 33, it appears that the Lord would speak to Moses face to face then later tells Him he can’t see His face and live. In Hebrew, there is no apparent contradiction.

Exodus is a Greek word that means “going out” and suggests the content of Israel leaving Egypt, however, this book was not originally written in Greek, and Exodus is not its original name.
