He is making all things new.

“Behold, I am making all things new” is a verse at the end of Revelation. But it isn't a distant promise about the end of time. It's something He is already doing.

God's pattern is not to discard and start over. He takes what is already there and He makes it new.

Israel is a picture of this promise, and He is not finished with it.

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”

Why now?

Israelis are discovering what happens when the things you thought were solid aren't.

The best security in the world can fail. Experienced leaders can run out of answers. Strong economies can weaken. And the identity you were proud to carry can become something you don't feel safe displaying.

So people are asking what they can actually build a life on. Reservists who've seen more of the front than of their own families. Israelis who feel like strangers among their own neighbours. A generation struggling to picture a future here.

That question has been asked here before. What's different is that this time there's an answer waiting. In a language they can finally read. In people trained to sit with them. In homes with an open door.

They're asking. And some are finding.

What He is already renewing

A new understanding

Itai sat through Bible class like every Israeli schoolkid does. He knew the alphabet. He knew the stories were important. But this is how he describes it: “You have to break your teeth and your brain just to understand it.”

Biblical and modern Hebrew share an alphabet and many roots, but thousands of years separate them. The Bible can look familiar while remaining surprisingly difficult to understand.

Then local believers gave Itai a modern translation.

For the first time, he could read the Scriptures for himself and understand them.

A new generation

Israeli kids grow up with war in the background, then most go into the army at eighteen.

Almost no one is trained to walk beside them.

“We need to fight for them,” says Tamar, who started a mentorship ministry after a year she calls complete hell with her own teenager. “Literally be there for them.”

Mentors are being trained. Young believers are being discipled. Leaders are being equipped to serve the congregations and communities that will shape Israel's future.

The people who will lead Israel's congregations thirty years from now are being raised up today.

A new story

Batel came home from the army carrying chronic pain that wouldn't go away. She went looking for anything that might stop it.

What followed were, in her words, both the worst months of her life and the best. “This is where I found God. Where God found me.”

She prayed while she was trying to end her life. He answered.

Today Batel lives in a recovery home in Be'er Sheva, rebuilding her life and studying to help others heal. “My healing journey has been renewing my mind with God's truth.”

What looked like the end of her story wasn't the end.

You know what it means to be made new.

The story that changed your life began here.

  • The Scriptures you read daily came from this land.
  • The promises you hold onto were first spoken to this people.
  • The Gospel that reached you went out from here to the nations.

And now you have the opportunity to be part of what God is doing here today.

  • Your gift can put the Word into someone's hands and give them a new understanding.
  • Your gift can put a mentor beside a young person and shape a new generation.
  • Your gift can help someone discover that their story isn't over and help write a new chapter.
